Admin Taking a trip to South Florida this week is probably a little tough to pull off. That is, without the internet of course. If you had to call and use a travel agent, it would be more of a hassle than it’s worth. With the internet, a few clicks of a mouse and a few button pushes, you can have a football weekend all taken care of.
The hotel and room accommodations are probably the easy part, although the closer you get to the big game, the farther away from the event you will have to stay. Rooms fill up pretty fast and although Miami is a big place, all the best accommodations will be taken up rather quickly. With so many people hanging around
and staying in the same area, you can bet all the best restaurants are going to be over run. Mixing it up helps and getting an idea from the locals where the best local places to eat is always a good idea. Online you can get a list of all the available rooms in the area and in the surrounding areas. You can get a good idea of what is still available and what the price ranges are and what you can still get.
There are not usually as many bargains as there are online for most of the year because the operators know that visitors are going to take what is available. This means that most of the rooms will be at the higher end of the price scale. The high number listed on the back of your hotel room door is probably what you will end up paying that week. This doesn’t mean that there are no bargains out there; it just means that the bargains are going to be more difficult to find. The same goes for entertainment, although most of your time will be occupied with football themed activities.
Like any other big event, most everything will cost you money and nothing is ever free. That means that you will have to pick and choose and try not to get ripped off. All this means is that picking out the most important things to do and the most bang for your buck is a good idea. With the beach and so many outdoor activities available, there are some bargains to be had. You don’t have to live it up like a movie star to have a good time.
